At Beattie’s Pharmacy we have found our Anhydrous Lipoderm base works well for autistic patients. It is soy-free, utilizing an egg-based phosphatidylcholine with a citrus fragrance to help mask the distinct smell.
Whenever possible, natural ingredients are used such as: Pomegranate Seed Oil, Emu Oil, Plukenetia Volubilis Seed Oil, Cupuacu Butter, and Vitamin E.
This base is also high in unsaturated fatty acids. It contains no Wheat Germ Oil and is Paraben-free. We can then customize this compound to meet the specific medical needs of the patient.
There has been success with cream formulations as well as with oral suspension.
